Wow what a wonderful week of sunshine we have had!
I hope you have all been enjoying the first week of the school holidays, with another week on the horizon I thought I would share with you some simple play set ups and craft activities that you can recreate at home.

Hop Little Bunny Puppets
What you will need:
Bunny template
Paint sticks, pens or crayons
Cotton wool or white pom poms
Lolly pop sticks
Tape
Glue
Download the bunny template and cut out (older children could draw their own bunny)
Decorate your bunny rabbit then add your cotton tail with glue.
Tape your bunny to the wooden stick
You now have a little bunny puppet to use for stories, songs and in play!
I would highly recommend the website Baker Ross for creative resources, the paint sticks have a texture of lipstick and are brilliant for mark making.

Mark Making with Carrots
Using anything other then pens or pencils for making marks really helps to develop fine motor skills, grip strength and control over movements.
Dipping the end of the carrot in the paint and moving it around the page, you could even add a maze for the Easter bunny to get to the carrot.
Exploring Spring and Easter
The shops are full of not only Easter eggs but also Easter crafts and toys, creating a themed treasure basket is a great way to explore and start conversations through play.

Water play is perfect for this time of year, just add a splash of water, a handful of petals and a few tools from our silver treasure set and you've got a dreamy springtime play tray.
A top tip would be to keep any of these themed resources and crafts in an Easter/Spring themed storage box. You can also grab some of the reduced sets after the bank holiday weekend and keep it ready for next year.
